This is a tip of the hat to Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Mikado.” It is also a reminder of the chaos that surrounds my wife when her sisters are all around her. They easily slip back into their childhood reliving cherished yet sometimes embarrassing moments. It is truly a pleasure to watch how much they adore each other. The characters in the painting do not even slightly resemble the sisters. They’re what I believe Yum -Yum, Peep Bo, and Pitti-Sing should look like.
Note: Yes, the eyes are purposely painted in the middle third. The question is why?
