I tried to capture the final moments of a rock concert in this work. Can you feel the guitarists squeezing the final notes out as the front man drops and delivers his primordial screams? The strobe lights are popping while the psychedelic lights are spinning and spraying colors all over the stage. Your mind is thumping to the music and try as you might, you cannot take it all in because the eye only catches fragments of the action while your brain struggles to put the puzzle in place so you can immerse yourself in what is going on. It is like a tornado of sound and movement. This moment is even more heightened if your faculties are impaired. I want the viewer to relive that special concert. The music of the sixties and seventies was special, and we thought we were social outlaws. The lights fade and bills need to get paid when you grow up, but once in while it is okay to see the lights and smell the smells of our youth once again.
